2019 Shinnenkai – JAASC Annual Party

You’re invited!

The Japan America Association of South Carolina (JAASC) would like to welcome you to the 2019 JAASC Annual party which will be held at the Poinsett Club on Saturday, January 26, 2019.

Email registration extended to Monday, January 14, 2019. Registration details below. 

As one of the main social events the Japan America Association of South Carolina, this is a unique opportunity to meet with the leaders of the Japanese business community.

This year we are celebrating our 30th anniversary, and we hope you can join us for this special celebration.

As in the past, there will be a chaperoned children’s room with food, TV/”G” movies, and games.

Event Details

  1. DATE : January 26th, 2019 (Sat.) at 17:00 – Venue Opens

  1. FEE: Adult (16 and up): $65/person (JASSC members)

Adult (16 and up): $75/person (non-JAASC guests)
Children (under 16): $5/person ※

※ College/High-school students who have volunteered are available to look after your children (w/ Food, television, games, etc.). Please guide your children to the Kids Room after you enter and register at the entrance.  Please take note meals prepared for the children differ from the adult meals.  If your children have allergies, please ensure to contact and let us know prior to the event.

  1. PROGRAM:

17:15 – 18:15 Social Hour (Sushi, Japanese style appetizers, Cash bar, etc.)
18:30 – 21:00 Dinner
※ If there are food allergies to consider or guests who have preference such as a vegetarian menu, please ensure to contact and let us know prior to the event.

  1. APPLICATION:

Please fill out the required information on the “2019 JAASC Annual Party Registration Form”, then send the form via E-mail, and registration fee (check) by mail (please send it to the below address).  We encourage guests to register as soon as possible, as there are limited number of seats.

  1. REQUESTS:
    1. Sponsorship
      Same from previous year, we are looking for companies to support and sponsor our event. If you can support as a sponsor, please fill out the sponsorship application form attached to the registration form with the amount and send with the signed check enclosed.
    2. Donation
      Along with the Sponsorship above (1), donations are very much appreciated. Please complete the attached application, enclose your signed check payable to “JAASC” together with the event attendance fee to the address given above. In the Note section of the check, please specify it is for “Donation to Annual Party”.
    3. Administration Support
      We are looking for volunteers for the event. If you are interested in volunteering or have employees who would like to volunteer, please fill out your company’s name and the volunteer name(s) on the application form.

7. OTHERS

DRESS: We request that the attire for the event to be business formal.
Gentlemen: Suit, Sports coat, etc. (No jeans or T-shirt, etc.)
Ladies: Kimono, Dress, Suit, etc.  (No jeans or T-shirt, etc.)

ACCOMMODATIONS: The Westin Poinsett Greenville hotel has a limited number of rooms available at a very special rate of $169 for the night of the party (special discount price, Room number limited). For guests seeking to stay, please directly contact the hotel before January 4, 2019 (Friday).  Please ensure to provide our name JAASC when reserving (1-800-937-8461) or reserve your room through our online link here.
