Carolina Music Museum at Heritage Green is home to the world-famous Carolina Clavier Collection—more than 40 English, European, and American pianos and harpsichords dating from 1570 to 1845.

Dr. Watanabe, who has performed previously in Greenville at the home of Thomas (Artistic Director and Curator of the Carolina Music Museum) and Deborah Strange, is an internationally known expert on Japanese contemporary music.

The concert, sponsored by the Japan American Association of South Carolina, presents Dr. Watanabe in a performance of an eclectic program of Japanese Contemporary Piano music on the modern piano and Bach, Beethoven, Chopin and Petty on the historical keyboard collections of the museum.

In demand as lecturer all over the world, and having presented at over 70 universities and colleges, she will also speak about the “Traditional Music of Japan.”
