JAASC in partnership with the Charleston Museum has raised funds and provided funding to support the restoration of Miss Saitama ahead of the 100th anniversary of this doll being gifted to South Carolina by Saitama Prefecture Japan as a sign of friendship between the US and Japan.

Mr. Aoki, a renowned doll craftsman from Japan, will travel to South Carolina July 19- July 23 to restore Miss Saitama at the Museum in Charleston.  Then she will be on display at the anniversary exhibit in Virginia in 2027.
